I embarked on my first advanced Toastmaster project during our Kg Chai Chee Toastmasters Club chapter meeting, after attaining Competent Communicator status last month.
"The Toast" is the topic of the first project in the Special Occasion Speeches manual. A toast is more than "cheers" or "yam seng".
I made a toast to the club for being on track to achieving our Distinguished Club status by the end of this term. It's really challenging to give a rousing toast that last just 2-3 minutes.
